With its perpetually sunny climate and landscape abundant with vineyards and groves of olive and orange trees, the Southern California region known as the Inland Empire offers no shortage of venues conducive for outdoor events.

There’s more to Florida than just its beaches. The state is also filled with trendy downtown areas perfect for attendees to explore between meetings.

There’s been an explosion of micro and craft breweries all over the state of Florida in settings from historic warehouses to restored garages. With so many cropping up it’s impossible to name them all. Here are some notable independently owned breweries with some out-of-this-world brews.

StoneTurn, a forensic accounting and corporate compliance firm out of Boston, was already booked into the luxury Casa Marina Key West, A Waldorf Astoria Resort for an early December meeting when the news spread on Sept. 9, 2017, about Hurricane Irma’s devastating hit to the Florida Keys. The company decided then to forgo its usual on-site teambuilding activity and instead looked to work with and help the Keys community.

On Sept. 9, 2017, Hurricane Irma first made landfall in the Florida Keys and then tore up the Florida Peninsula, leaving in its wake a few days of destruction, downed trees and flooding. And then it was over. While some hotels and venues suffered damage and needed to renovate, most were fortunate to experience only minimal damage, enabling them to reopen quickly.
