My Hard Rock journey began in 1970, when we moved from Los Angeles to London. The Great American Disaster, Peter Morton’s first burger joint, was our neighborhood go-to. His next venture switched me onto rock music for life: the high-decibel Hard Rock Cafe and its guitar-decked walls, co-launched with Isaac Tigrett in June 1971. Tulsa Club Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton opened its doors. The 11-story, 96-room property is a historic boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Tulsa’s Deco District. The hotel is one of the many Art Deco buildings in the area. In addition to its modern interior, the hotel has maintained the building’s original 1927 Art Deco exterior designed by world famous architect Bruce Goff.

Providing sustainable food and beverage options at your meeting or event doesn’t mean you have to skimp on the quality of the experience. Leading meetings industry sustainability expert Nancy Zavada, president of MeetGreen, who has been preaching the gospel of sustainability at events for more than 20 years, offers up some best practices for planners.

Rhode Island’s Providence Warwick CVB (PWCVB) named Kristen Adamo its president and CEO. Adamo will take the new role April 25, 2019. Highlights of her former tenure as vice president include marketing initiatives such as Providence Restaurant Weeks and having Providence named “America’s Favorite City” in Travel + Leisure magazine.

Public spaces throughout the hotel feature a variety of tile, stone and wood elements that give the spaces a natural aesthetic.

Meetings Today reached out to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for advice on how meeting and convention organizers should arm themselves with a pre-event checklist to make sure fire safety and adherence to fire codes is paramount.
