Las Vegas Hospitality Workers Overwhelmingly Authorize Strike

The Culinary and Bartenders Union voted to authorize a strike against 22 hotels and resorts in the Las Vegas area, including the site of this year’s IMEX America convention, Mandalay Bay. The union has also scheduled picket lines outside 8 properties on the Las Vegas Strip, signaling how labor disputes might clash with this year's IMEX convention.

The Omni Charlottesville Hotel completed a $15 million renovation of its guest rooms, public spaces, dining venues and meeting space in October, and The Omni Raleigh Hotel is expected to open in 2027 and will be built on a lot measuring over one acre at the end of Fayetteville Street, across from the Raleigh Convention Center and Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts.
