When you host your event at MGM Resorts, your attendees will gather in spaces powered largely by renewable energy, with state-of-the-art energy efficiency systems working behind the scenes.
We have installed more than 1.4 million LED energy efficiency lights in one of America’s largest lighting retrofit projects, and invested tens of millions of dollars in HVAC efficiency projects and building control systems to ensure our properties are running as efficiently as possible.
We are also committed to achieving high levels of energy efficiency and utilizing daylighting as demonstrated by our green building certifications, including:
- At Mandalay Bay, we host one of the country's largest contiguous rooftop solar arrays. Nearly 90% of MGM Resorts’ portfolio is certified to one or more of the following environmental certifications: LEED, Green Globes, Green Key, China Green Building, ISO 14001 or ISO 500001.
- In 2024, MGM Resorts was recognized for achieving energy savings goals as a partner in the U.S. Department of Energy Better Buildings Challenge.
- Four Las Vegas destinations are LEED Gold Certified including ARIA, Vdara, T-Mobile Arena and The Park.
- Up to 100% of daytime energy at Las Vegas Strip properties is powered by renewable energy from the Escape Solar Project and the MGM Resorts Mega Solar Array.
