Domestic business travel airfares rose 10 percent in the first quarter of 2011 over the same period last year, surpassing their pre-recession average in Q1 2008, according to the latest Business Travel Monitor report from American Express Business Travel.

ATLANTIC CITY

  • Scheduled for completion this fall, Trump Marina Casino and Hotel (609.441.2000; www.trumpmarina.com) will be rebranded as a Golden Nugget following a $150 million renovation that will transform the property into a luxury resort. The refreshed resort will include a new spa, restaurants, updated rooms and suites, boutique retail shops, a renovated pool and H2O Ultra Lounge.
  • Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa (609.317.1000; www.theborgata.com) is undergoing a $50 million renovation of its 2,000-room hotel tower. Following the redesign of more than 300 suites last year, work is continuing on 1,600 regular guest rooms, hallways and other areas of the hotel. Completion is scheduled for summer 2012.
