Montage Kapalua Bay, Hawaii, has hired Robert Friedl as general manager.
Friedl has over 30 years of experience in hospitality industry leadership roles. In his position as general manager, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the beachfront resort.
Prior to his hiring at Montage Kapalua Bay, Friedl was vice president at MacNaughton Hospitality in Honolulu. Friedl is not a first-time employee at Montage Kapalua Bay, though. He previously served as resort manager during the resort’s reflagging and remodeling. Friedl has also served as general manager at The Laylow Waikiki and The Sebastian Vail, Colorado. In 2008 he took the position as resort manager for The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, Kapalua Bay.
