Michelle Devine

Visit Huntington Beach (VHB), the official DMO of Huntington Beach, California, announced that Michelle Devine will join as vice president of sales December 11.

Devine brings over 25 years of hospitality expertise to the role and will focus primarily on aligning VHB’s sales initiatives with its new three-year strategic plan to drive year-round group business and off-season meetings and events.

Devine’s experience spans sales, marketing and branding roles, including 13 years of sales leadership for hotels and destinations such as St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa, Irvine Company, Balboa Bay Resort and most recently as the national account director for Visit Newport Beach. Devine is also an active member of the California DMO Alliance, Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals, SITE SoCal and MPI.

“I am excited to join Visit Huntington Beach during such an important time in the travel and tourism industry,” Devine said in a press release. “As group business continues to grow in Huntington Beach, this is an opportunity to develop a comprehensive strategy to amplify Huntington Beach’s economic vitality and brand presence as a premier beach destination for group business, meetings, events and more.”

Kelly Miller, president and CEO of VHB, said that Devine will fill a key role with the DMO as many major events are coming up in the Greater Los Angeles area.

“Continuing to build an even stronger team and cultural foundation is essential for VHB and our stakeholders as we look toward LA 2028 and the Paralympic Games, and prepare to welcome the world to Southern California,” Miller said. “Michelle is a talented sales professional with a keen understanding of the value of Huntington Beach as a destination, and we’re stoked to have her join our group sales team.”
