IMEX Frankfurt 2025 enjoyed success in a big way this year, from the amount of exhibitor floor space to the number of attendees.
The 21st edition of the show, held May 20-22 in Frankfurt, Germany’s Messe Frankfurt convention center, attracted more than 13,000 meeting and event professionals—besting 2024’s 12,059—and also set a record for exhibitor floor space, according to IMEX Group.
One-to-one meetings increased by 10% compared to last year’s event, with the busy show floor reflecting robust business pipelines in the global events industry, according to organizers. The event generated over 67,000 pre-scheduled meetings across the three days of the event.
“IMEX Frankfurt 2025 was a tremendous success for us,” said Tracy Halliwell, director of tourism and conventions for the London Convention Bureau, in a statement following the close of the show. “Our stand attracted more interest than ever, with more than 750 pre-scheduled meetings—not including those arranged on the day.”
The show’s Inspiration Hub, which housed IMEX Frankfurt’s education programming, saw event professionals look to the future, discussing themes of trust, transparency and experiential design combined with emotional journey planning, psychological safety and leadership.
Frankfurt has also been designated 2026’s World Design Capital by the World Design Organization, which recognizes cities for their effective use of design to drive economic, social, cultural and environmental development. IMEX Group’s CEO, Carina Bauer, said the designation offers the show more opportunities to extend its partnerships across the city and promote the importance of strong design principles as the bedrock of successful events and experiences.
Next year’s IMEX Frankfurt event will take place May 19-21, 2026. The organization is now gearing up for its annual IMEX America event, taking place October 7-9, 2025, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
