In an effort to drive sales strategy in the Columbus region, Experience Columbus announced William Adams will step into the role of chief sales officer. Adams began working for the DMO on September 8.
Adams has a variety of experiences at various DMOs across the county. He comes to Columbus from the nation’s capital, where he served as the director of convention sales at Destination DC.
In addition to his 20 years of experience in tourism and hospitality sales, Adams also serves as a leader in a variety of associations including, MPI, PCMA and the Association of Meeting Professionals (AMPs).

President and CEO of Experience Columbus, Brian Ross, said Adams’ involvement with PCMA will help promote Columbus' reputation as a premiere destination for hosting more national and international conventions and trade shows.
“William has a proven record of success in convention sales having worked with DMOs of all sizes,” Ross said in a press release. “His leadership and experience implementing community-wide sales strategies will be invaluable to Experience Columbus.”
