Destinations International (DI) launched an expanded Virtual Education Series on September 23, elevating its offerings as the world’s leading resource for destination organizations.
The Virtual Education Series aims to help educate destination professionals via on-demand courses designed to build skills, strengthen leadership and drive innovation across tourism. The courses are available 24/7 and can be found online here. Each course is structured to be highly digestible, with formats including 30-minute lessons, short video series or virtual panels, and is also supported with practical tools and downloadable resources for immediate application.
The following courses are available now:
- Technology and Innovation Series: Equipping destination leaders with insights into emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- Leadership Series: Helping destination professionals advance leadership roles by strengthening mindsets and organizational influence.
Skills Series: Delivering essential tools, techniques and soft skills needed to thrive in a competitive, fast-changing environment.

“Professional growth has to be flexible and accessible,” said Emily Scheiderer, DI’s vice president of professional development, in a press release. “These courses are designed by and for destination professionals as quick, focused and highly actionable learning experiences that fit into your schedule, ensuring that every participant walks away with knowledge and tools they can apply immediately in their role.”
Additional offerings, including a DI Digest Series, will be released soon to further support continuous professional development. Courses are available to Destinations International members at $59 per individual course or $79 for non-members.
