“At this stage in my career, I’m focused on leveraging my experience to drive meaningful revenue growth and strengthen market position for a flagship property like the JW Marriott Marco Island,” Matthews said in a press release. “I look forward to contributing my skills in strategic sales leadership to enhance the resort’s success while supporting the talented team already in place.”

During the pandemic, she led sales at the dual-branded JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street.

“While the allure of a beachfront resort is undeniable, what drew me to JW Marriott Marco Island is the opportunity to be part of a legacy. This marks my third JW Marriott-branded property, and with that comes a deep appreciation for this namesake brand and our elevated standards,” she said.
