ATLANTA, Ga.
The Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center completed a $4.6 million renovation of the meeting and event space.
The project incorporated new carpeting, wall coverings, artwork and lighting across the hotel's more than 65,000 square feet of event space. One other key feature which is mandatory in today's business environment is to add in power outlets throughout the venue to enable meeting attendees to recharge no matter where they happen to be.
The new design embodies the Renaissance brand's goal to incorporate indigenous elements of Atlanta into the setting. The Garden Court Area offers 14,000 square feet of preconvene space which integrates local features to capture the essence and flavors of Atlanta. Large sweeping murals celebrate a "Georgia on my Mind" theme and cozy nooks outside of the Grand Ballroom capture the images of Atlanta's history as the jewel of the South.
With a goal of giving conference attendees an opportunity to experience "Business Unusual," whimsical and imaginative case goods add flair to the renovated spaces and to the seating areas so one can enjoy more of a lounge vibe in the space versus being in a strictly corporate environment.
The Garden Court features large community tables with power connections to stimulate imaginative conversations and breakouts during meeting down times. Additional seating has also been added to the mural and nook areas all featuring plugs for those that need to power up during intermissions from the meeting experience. The smaller meeting spaces also feature artwork which celebrates the hip urban vibe of Atlanta.
The property’s 65,000 square feet of event space is spread across 32 event rooms. The property is also directly connected to the Cobb Galleria Centre which features another 320,000 square feet of space.
The Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center, located in the city's Galleria area, features a 14-story atrium and dining options including 2450, Medici, Tosca Blu Bar, and KoFi. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and Sport Court and the on-site Spa Waverly.
