The Palms Hotel & Spa unveiled its multimillion-dollar renovation of the lobby, reception area, and meeting rooms.
“The goal of the renovation was to enhance and renew the lobby and meeting areas of the hotel, while remaining true to The Palms’ main style attributes of colonial and island-inspired,” said Katja Janzon, vice president of The Palms Hotel & Spa.
The refreshed interiors of the oceanfront boutique hotel embrace the property’s gardens with a tropical, inspired-by-nature feel, and welcome guests with the true essence of a warm and relaxing beachside resort, where total well-being is at the center of every experience.
The driveway and main entrance to 97-room property were refreshed to create a grander sense of arrival and curb appeal, including new flooring, columns and furnishings. In the front lobby and Great Room, new furnishings in ocean-inspired hues were added to create modernized seating areas, with new contemporary light fixtures and wall treatments to brighten the space. A new concierge desk enhances both the design and functionality of the reception area.
“With the lobby updates, we were able to preserve and enhance the timeless, warm, and laid-back style that The Palms is known for, while increasing the usage and operational effectiveness of certain areas,” Janzon said.
In the small meeting rooms, including the Princess Palm, Kentia Palm I & II, Silver Palm, and Coconut Palm, a visual upgrade that includes new wall treatments, flooring, lighting and artwork, contributes to a sleek and inviting boutique atmosphere for corporate meetings and special events.
The property offer over 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including two ballrooms and a total of nine meeting rooms, plus ample outdoor event spaces. The Palms is large enough to accommodate all types of groups, yet small enough to provide personalized service, exclusivity and authenticity.
The AAA Four Diamond property is part of the exclusive collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and is one of few family-owned and independently operated luxury hotels in Miami Beach.
