Boulders Resort Introduces New Ballroom

CAREFREE, Ariz.

Boulders Resort & Spa debuted the new 5,600-square-foot Latilla Ballroom following a property-wide renovation that included the main lodge, restaurants, swimming pools and clubhouse facility. The new facility features 16-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views and organic decor elements that beautifully extend the indoor space out into the natural environment.

The resort also introduced new wellness activities for groups. “Brain Fitness Neurobics” was developed by the spa’s nutritionist and certified brain fitness facilitator to give guests the opportunity to explore and exercise their brain with a goal to enhance cognition and improve memory. Each session includes a broad spectrum of vibrant mental activities designed to increase the ability of the brain to make new connections.

The “Balance and Mobility Training” program helps to enhance functional strength and mobility for daily life, showing dramatic improvement in confidence and awareness. The “Memory Enhancement” program assists with preventing age-related memory loss with memory-enhancing techniques. Other “mental games” include “Mental Game of Golf,” a two-hour ‘mental coaching’ that takes place with an instructor on the course as golfers play nine holes and learn to get in the right frame of mind.

Other group experiences include Mixer Mixology, a program that invites guests to craft their own cocktail concoction from garden fresh ingredients and takes place at the property’s 5,600-square foot Organic Garden.

The resort offers more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, 160 guest casitas and 61 one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, five restaurants and a lounge, two championship Jay Morrish-designed golf courses, eight tennis courts and a full-service spa.
