Peter Strebel Named President of Omni Hotels

Omni Hotels & Resorts CMO and Senior Vice President of Sales Peter Strebel has been promoted to the position of president of the Dallas-based chain.

Strebel is a 30-year hospitality industry veteran with 20 years of experience at Omni.

“Peter’s commitment and passion for the brand will position him as a solid leader for the organization,” said Blake Rowling, president of TRT Holdings, parent company of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “With his operational management expertise and keen attention to building brand awareness, he will continue to lead Omni down the path of great success.”

In his new role, Strebel will be responsible for insuring all operational areas within the company align with the long-term goals and objectives of the brand, and will work with various teams to enhance Omni’s level of guest service and oversee its growth and expansion plans.

Prior to being named president, Strebel worked directly with the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center and the Omni Nashville Hotel, both of which are connected to large convention centers. He also oversaw the Omni Parker House in Boston as well as New York City’s Omni Berkshire Place, along with The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va., and Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, N.H.

Strebel, who served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Wyndham Hotel Group from 2001 o 2009 and rose to the title of president there, serves on the board of directors for the Global Hotel Alliance and graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
