MUSCATINE, Iowa

The Merrill Hotel & Conference Center, an IACC-accredited property in the downtown riverfront area of Muscatine, is now open.

This four-star hotel boasts 122 guest rooms and 16 meeting rooms with over 12,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is also home to Maxwell’s, a full-service restaurant, a saltwater pool and fitness room.

The Merrill Hotel & Conference Center is the only IACC accredited meeting venue in the state and function space includes a top floor, 4,700-square-foot ballroom with outdoor terrace overlooking the Mississippi River.

The hotel is named after Stanley Merrill Howe, a life-long resident and business leader of Muscatine.

“The Merrill is just one example of the successes the citizens of this city achieve every single day in this great city, said Jim Howe, Stanley Merrill Howe’s son. “Its purpose is to create a sustainable economic foundation within the downtown that will allow for further growth and development in small businesses within the community. We are honored and excited to bring this project to fruition to Muscatine.”
