JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Unveils New Look

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa announced a complete refresh throughout all 1,002 guest resort suites. The resort underwent a renovation of its restaurants and lobby spaces last year.

The design by Seifert Murphy was inspired by the Blanco River central wellspring in the Texas Hill Country. New furnishings, light fixtures and select millwork elements are a nod to the architectural elements of the river itself.

“We are thrilled that we will have the ability to offer our guests, new and returning, a heightened sense of arrival and experience in their guest rooms,” said Arthur Coulombe, general manager of JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. “Whether our guests are visiting to connect, network, meet or refresh, we are welcoming a new level of luxury committed to providing a world-class experience on property.”

Many of the new furniture features different woods, copper, limestone, leather and other natural materials. The rooms feature uniquely constructed headboards that reflect the stone and rock found naturally within the San Antonio area. The staple art piece in the room is a take on the limestone rock stacking along The Blanco River.

Other room amenities include a 65-inch TV, redesigned bathrooms, Juliette or walk-out balconies with views of the Texas Hill Country terrain.

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is located 12 miles north of San Antonio International Airport. The resort boasts 288,000 square feet of meeting and event space. There are 40 functions spaces, including the 40,500-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate 6,300 guests. There are also multiple outdoor venues for meetings and events.

The property also offers the 36-hole TPC San Antonio golf course, Lantana Spa and the nine-acre River Bluff water park. There are seven restaurants and bars on-site, including Cibolo Moon, serving modern blend of Texas and Mexican-inspired cuisine and 18 Oaks, a fine-dining restaurant inside the TPC San Antonio clubhouse.
