Encore Boston Harbor Readies for Opening

Encore Boston Harbor is nearing its opening.

The property is scheduled to open its doors in June 2019 with:

  • a 210,000-square-foot casino
  • 15 dining and lounge venues
  • 671 guest rooms and suites
  • 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space
  • a spa and a four-season, six-acre Harborwalk

The Harborwalk will feature pedestrian and bike paths, picnic park, gazebo, viewing decks, waterfront dining and green space. At $2.6 billion, Encore Boston Harbor is the country’s most expensive resort development of 2019, according to a news release from the hotel.

Meetings and Events

For meetings and events of all sizes and occasions, Encore Boston Harbor features more than 50,000 square feet of conference space on the lobby level and 21,000 square feet of seasonal outdoor space overlooking the Boston Harbor and skyline.

Event space includes:

  • 10 break-out rooms
  • a 37,000-square-foot grand ballroom
  • a promenade

Encoure Boston Harbor will feature the largest ballroom space in Boston outside of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Accommodations

Designed in elegant neutral tones with floor-to-ceiling windows, each room highlights exclusive Wynn Dream Beds. Tech-friendly conveniences include flat-screen 4K ultra-high-definition televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi, bedside mobile charging devices, and a wireless iPad for one-touch access to room controls, resort information and guest services. A voice-activation system controls curtains, lighting, heating and air-conditioning, and privacy settings.

At 650 square feet, Encore Boston Harbor’s Premier King and Double guest rooms are the largest hotel accommodations in New England.

Signature Suites increase to 1,350 square feet; Two-Bedroom Residences are 3,350 square feet; and two limited-availability villas total 5,800 square feet, respectively.

Dining and Lounge Venues

A diverse selection of 15 restaurants, bars and lounges can be found throughout the resort, ranging from fine dining to casual fare.

Successful concepts from Wynn and Encore Las Vegas will open at Encore Boston Harbor, including Sinatra restaurant and the Wynn Buffet and Rare Steakhouse—an upscale steakhouse experience inspired by the legendary SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas.

Encore Boston Harbor will also place a heavy emphasis on locally inspired venues, embracing the diverse array of produce and ingredients from New England and the Atlantic waters.

Wines of the world, hard-to-find spirits and imported beers are integrated on menus, alongside local craft brewers and distillers.

Casino

The 210,000-square-foot casino is divided into two spacious sections, with high ceilings and hand-assembled red Murano glass chandeliers transplanted from their original home at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. The first-floor features more than 3,000 slot machines, 143 table games and a casino bar centrally located at the heart of the floor beneath a grand staircase.

An 88-table Poker Room on the second floor is flanked by secluded terraces overlooking the gaming floor, offering high-end poker, VIP and private-gaming experiences.

Transportation

Through a robust water transportation system, custom-built water shuttles will transport guests year-round from Boston directly to the resort.

The low-profile European-style boats feature plush seating, gloss-varnished teak wood and a below-deck salon seating area with large hull windows and overhead skylights.

Additionally, luxury park-and-ride services will be available from select locations throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and complimentary shuttle services will be offered from nearby train stations directly to Encore Boston Harbor.
