2026 New and Renovated Roundup: Here’s How the Hotel Pipeline Looks After Q1

New and Renovated hotels from 2026

At the end of Q1, the 2026 U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Trend Report from Lodging Econometrics reported 705,825 guest rooms were added to the hotel pipeline so far this year. We’ve gathered a list of major meetings hotels making strides with property openings, renovations and big announcements.

Here’s the latest roundup of new and renovated properties.  

West

California 

Hilton Anaheim completed a comprehensive, multimillion-dollar renovation that began in July 2024. Its 1,500 guest rooms were redesigned to include modern furnishings, and its 105,595 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting spaces were upgraded to include expanded capabilities for AV and technology, flexible seating for conferences, enhanced lighting and modern desks and chairs.

The renovations also welcomed a rebranded fifth-floor space, Anaheim Rooftide Terrace, and a new al fresco dining outlet, Saltflower. Across the property’s 58 meeting rooms, the largest space is the 28,542-square-foot California Ballroom which has the capacity for 2,800 guests.

Hawai’i

In February, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel unveiled a $240 million renovation. The 252-room hotel is a part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, and its multi-phase renovation was the most extensive transformation in the property’s 60-year history. 

Other new amenities at the hotel include a 2,500-square-foot fitness center, oceanfront wellness retreat, adults-only infinity lap pool, a redesigned golf course, a spa with 11 treatment rooms and multiple refreshed dining outlets, including Manta and Hau Tree Cantina. 

The hotel has more than 15 indoor/outdoor spaces for meetings and events, including a ballroom, two boardrooms, a terrace and multiple lawns. The hotel’s largest space is the 45,500-square-foot Beachfront Lawn for 850 guests.

Idaho 

In May, Boise opened a dual-branded property, AC Hotel Boise Downtown and Element by Marriott Boise Downtown. The 296-room hotel with 8,250 square feet of meeting space debuts as the capital city’s largest hotel. 

The two upscale Marriott properties will be located in the heart of Boise’s downtown and feature 12 flexible meeting spaces, including the 3,010-square-foot Bristol Mitchell Ballroom on the 16th floor. The ballroom offers views of the Boise skyline and foothills.

South 

Georgia

The Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority broke ground on a 444-room Signia by Hilton Savannah in October. The hotel is the second Signia property in Georgia. The brand’s flagship hotel, Signia by Hilton Atlanta, opened in 2024. The Savannah property is one of four Signia hotels to be built from the ground up and is expected to come online by mid-2028.

The property will function as the headquarters hotel for the recently renovated Savannah Convention Center and feature more than 34,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom.

North Carolina

In late February, Myrtle Beach’s The Ellie Beach Resort, Tapestry by Hilton underwent a rebrand and renovation to its 38,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The 238-room resort offers three oceanfront ballrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The two-tower hotel is dual-branded and connected to the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront. Together, the properties offer 452 guest accommodations.

Texas

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas completed a $100 million, multi-year transformation. Located on 300 acres in San Antonio, the 522-room resort boasts more than 100,000 square feet of flexible indoor/outdoor meeting space, including a new 5,600-square-foot event venue, Rancher Hall. 

Also new to the property is The Big Spring, a 2.2-acre lagoon for swimming and water sports.

East 

Massachusetts

Boston Omni Parker House completed a $65 million renovation in time for its 170th anniversary. Built in 1855, the hotel is one of Boston’s oldest continuously operating properties. The 551-room hotel features 23,000 square feet of meeting space. Across the property’s 18 meeting spaces, the largest space is the 3,513-square-foot Rooftop Ballroom for more than 400 guests.

New Jersey

World of Blue, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey,  got a $100 million makeover. The newly rebranded hotel, just eight miles outside Manhattan, takes the place of the Hilton Hotel in East Rutherford. The 21-story property features 427 rooms and 35,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including six ballrooms.

The independent hotel is located half a mile from MetLife Stadium, 1.5 miles from American Dream Mall, and 11 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport. The comprehensive transformation welcomes elevated food and beverage concepts, a luxury spa, fitness center, guest rooms, corridors and meeting spaces.

Pennsylvania

Loews Philadelphia Hotel upgraded the meeting and event spaces on its 33rd floor to include enhanced lighting and technology, updated interiors, premium furnishings and upgraded bathrooms.

The hotel features 581 guest rooms and 47,000 square feet of space across 54 meeting rooms. The property’s largest space is the 9,752-square-foot Millenium Hall for 1,000 guests.

Midamerica 

Indiana

Indianapolis broke ground on a 176-room luxury property in January. The Ritz-Carlton, Indianapolis will be located three blocks from the Indiana Convention Center. The 15-story hotel will connect to the meeting spaces at Gainbridge Fieldhouse via a third-floor pedestrian bridge. 

The Marriott property will offer 11,500 square feet of meeting space and is anticipated to be completed by the beginning of 2028.

Indianapolis will also welcome an 800-room Signia by Hilton Indianapolis this fall. The 38-story hotel will be the 12th property connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. Meetings offerings at the property include more than 211,000 square feet of space across 42 rooms. The largest space is the 54,740-square-foot Grand Ballroom for more than 5,600 guests.

Minnesota  

Marriott Minneapolis Northwest rebranded to the Marriott Minneapolis Northwest Hotel and Conference Center and renovated its 231 guest accommodations. The Minneapolis conference center is the largest in Marriott’s portfolio, offering more than 67,000 square feet of flexible meeting space across 36 meeting rooms.

Wisconsin

In January, a 175-room independent property, The Marc Hotel, opened in downtown Milwaukee and is connected to the recently renovated Baird Center via a climate-controlled skywalk. The Marc Hotel takes over the former west wing of Hilton Milwaukee, a second recently renovated property in Cream City.

Hilton Milwaukee completed its $42 million renovation, unveiling a revitalized lobby, bar, meeting spaces and 554 guest rooms. Hilton Milwaukee has nearly 30,000 square feet of space across 17 meeting rooms. The largest space is the 6,615-square-foot Crystal Ballroom for 1,500.
