The Future of Teambuilding Activities at Meetings

One question asked in the 2019 Meetings Today Trends Survey was “What activities do you incorporate into your meetings?” The responses surprised me with golf second highest at 38%; spa/spa activities at 31%; sporting events 26%; and attractions and theme parks 27%. Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, located only 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio, debuted its Rodeo Olympics for groups in collaboration with Goen South Events. Through the teambuilding program, attendees can take part in a variety of Texas-themed activities and a few others they might not associate with Texas, including roping exercises with calf replicas, stick “horse” races, cow chip toss competitions, and even armadillo races.
