New-Build Montana Resort Overlooks Flathead Lake

POLSON, Mont.

Red Lions Hotel Corporation has announced it will complete construction on the Red Lion Ridgewater Inn & Suites Polson in June 2015, just in time for the summer tourist season to hit the popular lakeshore community in Polson, Montana.

The hotel will contain 80 guest rooms, 32 of which are suites, and nearly 3,500 square feet of meeting space overlooking Flathead Lake, which is regarded as one of the most scenic lakes in the Northwest. Guest amenities include an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast. Established Montana eatery, MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub, is under construction adjacent to the property.

Polson is located at a major crossroads at the south end of Flathead Lake and is surrounded by the Mission Mountains Wilderness. Flathead Lake is known for the 2,100-acre Wild Horse Island, where half a dozen wild horses live, along with bighorn sheep, mule deer, bald eagles and falcons. The Flathead River runs through Polson and offers whitewater rafting and fishing adventures.

Glacier National Park is north of Flathead Lake on the border of the U.S. and Canada and has more than 760 lakes on more than a million acres.
