Chris Skelding

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino announced the appointment of Chris Skelding as the property’s new director of sales, marketing, and events.

Skelding is an industry leader who most recently served as the director of sales at the flagship Hyatt Regency Chicago. He brings with him a lifetime of experience and success within the hospitality industry – almost literally, as he started working in hospitality when he was just 14 at his local country club in Indiana.

“After seeing firsthand how many of our flagship properties operate and connect with their customers, I’m incredibly excited to bring new ideas and offerings to Tahoe,” says Skelding. “Incline Village is one of the most beautiful destinations in the west and I look forward to working with the talented resort team to create even better experiences for leisure and group travelers.”

Skelding began his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts at Hyatt Regency Chicago in 1999 where he served as operations manager and then catering sales manager. His most recent and integral role as the director of sales at Hyatt Regency Chicago is preceded by a long list of management positons held at domestic and international Hyatt hotels and resorts, including Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar.

Skelding’s experience at both well-known domestic and world-class international Hyatt properties has helped influence the ideas he’s bringing to Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, like a new group offering that gets attendees out of meeting rooms and onto Lake Tahoe’s hiking and biking trails.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino offers lake and mountain views from its 422 guest rooms, including suites and lakeside cottages. The lakeside resort offers a 25,000-square-foot casino, signature restaurants such as Lone Eagle Grille, Stillwater Spa and Salon and over 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, including the only lakeside ballroom in Tahoe with waterfront and mountain views.
