With more than a collective 1 million square feet of meeting space and 15,000 hotel rooms paired with renowned natural scenery and a booming foodie culture, Reno Tahoe has what every meeting planner is looking for in a group business destination. Visit Reno Tahoe also offers a handful of attractive incentives that make this unique destination more affordable and easier to book.

The CVB offers three main incentives and can also customize incentives based on a group’s needs.

“We are very fortunate to be able to customize incentives, and we have a great relationship with all of our hotel partners, our stakeholders and our sales leaders,” said Mike Larragueta, vice president of sales for the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority. “When we're looking at a piece of business or we get an opportunity to bid on a piece of business, we will collaborate with the hotels and are able to customize an offer that we feel is really something that that piece of business is particularly looking for, that’s unique to them.”

$5,000 Signing Bonus for Group Bookings

When you book new meeting business in Reno Tahoe—defined as the first time booking in the destination or the first time in more than three years—you save. New business between now and December 31, 2023 with 1,000 or more room nights qualifies for a $5,000 signing bonus applied to the group’s master account of expenditures.

10% Group Room Commission

Most Reno Tahoe convention hotels remain independent and offer full 10% group room commissions. “This is pretty unique in the world we live in today on the M&C (meetings and conventions) side,” Larragueta noted.

Visit Reno Tahoe offers unique meeting planning flexibility, in addition to fewer restrictions than most destinations. Participating Reno and Sparks hotels include Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Grand Sierra Resort, Nugget Casino Resort, Peppermill Reno, Sands Regency, THE ROW (a Caesars product, which is comprised of Eldorado, Circus Circus and Silver Legacy) and Whitney Peak.

Heard about the lures of Reno Tahoe, but haven’t traveled there to see for yourself? The Come See, Fly Free program is a one-on-one, hosted destination tour. Airfare, accommodations, dining, entertainment and recreation are all covered by Reno Tahoe for qualified guests.

If guests ultimately book a meeting as result of the site inspection of the destination, hotels may participate in offsetting some of the meeting expense.
