Australia’s newly built Pullman Sydney Penrith, located adjacent to the Western Sydney Conference Centre (WSCC) and Panthers Leisure and Entertainment Precinct, opened in mid-August as Penrith’s first international five-star hotel.

Designed by architecture and design studio Turner, the building’s ribbon-like shape is inspired by the nearby Nepean River and surrounded by landscaping aiming to connect guests to nature, with more than 75 trees and 8,000 plants designed by landscape architecture firm Oculus.

The 153-room hotel features 24 junior suites, 94 superior rooms and 25 deluxe rooms, and guests have access to a bespoke Sleep Therapy Menu on their in-room tablet for a variety of sleep services such as ordering face and eye masks to aromatherapy pillow sprays and soothing teas.

Pullman Sydney Penrith’s location next door to WSCC gives groups access to more than 13,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.

Hilton recently announced the opening of Conrad Shenzhen, a new luxury hotel in Shenzhen’s Qianhai business district offering a modern oasis in China’s third most populous city. The hotel’s design concept was imagined by design firm YABU Pushelberg to embody “A Story of a Dreamer” and aims to take guests on a reflective journey through modern art and calming aesthetics away from the urban bustle.

The 300-room hotel is situated in Shenzhen’s financial center overlooking Qianhai Bay and puts guests within 25 minutes from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and steps away from Guiwan metro station. Within walking distance are a number of international shopping centers, world-class restaurants and nightlife.

Conrad Shenzhen’s interiors create an immersive environment centered around local culture and the city’s transformative spirit. Four decades ago, Shenzhen was a quiet fishing village and now stands as one of China’s megacities, and the hotel’s design elements showcase elegant motifs from the city’s past reimagined through a modern lens.

Conrad Shenzhen offers more than 22,500 square feet of meeting and event space, including an 11,840-square-foot grand ballroom equipped with advanced audiovisual technology. The ballroom foyer is naturally lit and features contemporary sculptures inspired by the lush hills and rugged shores surrounding the bustling city.
