Lake Tahoe DMO Rebrand Unites Several California and Nevada Towns

Lake Tahoe Travel is the new name for the DMO formerly known as North Lake Tahoe. The rebrand unites 12 Tahoe towns in both California and Nevada that are not on the southern shore of the Lake.

The renamed entity now covers 70% of the lake’s shoreline.  Its representation of the west, north, and east shores  encompasses two dozen beaches, 11 downhill ski resorts, 10 cross-country ski areas and hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails.

The DMO functions as a cooperative of two community organizations, North Tahoe Community Alliance and Travel North Tahoe Nevada.

Lake Tahoe Travel’s newest campaign, “Dive In” will be released October 1.

A preview of the campaign was sent to Meetings Today. It includes a 30-second video of guests exploring Lake Tahoe and its hiking and biking trails.

“This new brand is designed to resonate with today’s traveler,” said Adam Wilson, chief operating officer of the North Tahoe Community Alliance, in a press release. “It reflects both the adventure above the surface and the deeper stories of sustainability, culture, and community that define Lake Tahoe.”
