The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale announced a multiphase renovation that will transform the property’s three ballrooms and 45 meeting spaces. The renovation—which began in May and will conclude in October—will enhance networking environments and design event venues to better foster connections.

The renovation will introduce contemporary design, upgraded finishes and state-of-the-art technology across the property’s 203,528 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space. The hotel’s largest space is the 24,395-square-foot Kierland Grand Ballroom for up to 3,601 attendees. The 1,065-room Sheraton San Diego Resort completed a $123-million renovation in April. The multiyear project wrapped up with the debut of a new outdoor events venue, the Garden Terrace. The 3,600-square-foot space features a lush lawn, outdoor bar and pool area suitable for 300 guests.

Located on Harbor Island, the hotel overlooks the San Diego Bay and offers more than 132,300 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space for meetings and events. Across the property’s 50 rooms, the largest space is the 14,442-square-foot Pacific Ballroom for 2,100.

Other renovation elements are five new dining concepts: Rumorosa, Brewery X, Shorelight, Sunglow Cabana Bar and Strada Italian Market. The restaurants and bars feature a variety of fare from Italian to Cali-Baja inspired dishes. The resort also offers boat tours, kayaking, paddleboarding, tennis, pickleball, biking and more.

Colorado

Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center unveiled a $70-million transformation to its 1,100 guest rooms and group spaces. The guest rooms now incorporate wood and stone, porcelain and tonal colors with green accents that complement Colorado’s landscape.

The renovation added a new 891-square-foot meeting space, Summit Five, bringing the property’s total to more than 60,000 square feet of event space. Summit Five is a small meeting space that serves as an extension of the Denver City Terrace. Across the Hyatt hotel’s 10 meeting spaces, the largest is the 30,000-square-foot Centennial Ballroom for 3,000.

The Westin Denver International Airport completed phase one of its $25-million property-wide transformation. The first phase included a redesign of the hotel’s 37,000 square feet of meeting space, while the full renovation is expected to be finished next spring. The meeting space’s new design reflects water’s role in shaping the landscape of the West. Other design elements include new furnishings, integrated greenery and LED lighting.

The Westin’s 39 meeting and event spaces were thoughtfully reimagined to support focus, flow, and enable more fluid session transitions and breakout functionality. The Marriott International property’s largest space is the 7,133-square-foot Spruce Ballroom for 850 attendees.

Buyouts are Back

The resort’s guest rooms were renovated in 2025. The multimillion-dollar renovation features woven fabrics, pottery-inspired accents and a color palette drawn from red chili peppers and blue corn in each guest accommodation.

Located on 550 acres, the 350-room resort features more than 54,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 25,000 square feet of outdoor space and 29,000 square feet of indoor space. The largest indoor space is the 12,000-square-foot Tamaya Ballroom for 1,400.
