Grand Hyatt at SFO opened as the only on-airport hotel at San Francisco International Airport. The hotel sits on 4.2 acres and features 351 guest rooms including 22 suites, 14,435 square feet of meeting and event space, two distinct culinary concepts and an art collection that was curated exclusively for the hotel by the San Francisco Arts Commission.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago Completes Renovation

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago unveiled a new look in its lobby, guest rooms and suites. The redesign of these spaces was inspired by Lake Michigan and the development along the Chicago Riverwalk, which is visible from the hotel’s window seats. The completion of the lobby project marked the final phase of the property’s renovation.

Waldorf Astoria Debuts in Mexico

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts debuted in Mexico with the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, transforming The Resort at Pedregal. The resort, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, was acquired by affiliates of Walton Street Capital Mexico. The new Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is situated on a 24-acre site at the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula.

Caesars Sells Rio for $516 Million

Caesars Entertainment has sold its Las Vegas off-Strip Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino property for $516.3 million to the New York-based Imperial Companies real estate company. Caesars will continue to operate Rio for two years and pay an annualized rent of $45 million.
