News that PCMA CEO Sherrif Karamat, a Canadian citizen, has yet to obtain a post-hiring EB-2 Green Card, and that PCMA has posted his position on its job board, has led to a great deal of confusion at the association and in the industry. On Your Way to An Event? Workers on Strike at 4 U.S. Airports

Workers at Miami International Airport (MIA), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) are striking to protest working conditions. Ramp and cargo workers, cabin cleaners and wheelchair attendants employed by Eulen America, an airline contractor for American Airlines and Delta, are protesting unfair labor practice complaints, unpaid wages and health and safety problems.

Eldorado to Merge With Caesars, Creating Largest U.S. Gaming Company

Reno-based Eldorado Resorts and Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment are about to make history. On June 24, 2019, the companies announced they had entered into a definitive merger agreement that will result in the creation of the largest U.S. casino operator. Under the transaction, Eldorado will acquire Caesars for approximately $17.3 billion, including the assumption of outstanding debt.
