InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is renovating its Grand Tower rooms and meeting spaces to bring an elevated travel experience in time for summer travel, with reimagined spaces set to be completed this month. Located on Chicago’s iconic Michigan Avenue, the property opened its doors in 1929 and offers nearly 100 years of Chicago history and nostalgic design elements. The hotel features a total of 477 guest rooms in its Grand Tower, and renovations will bring a playful-yet-sophisticated design inspired by the building’s history as the former Medinah Athletic Club, with architecture dating back to when the hotel initially opened almost a century ago.

InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile features 45,000 square feet of event space and six unique ballrooms, including the 4,144-square-foot Avenue Ballroom on the hotel’s lobby level that can accommodate up to 500 guests. The historic King Arthur Court on the hotel’s third floor offers 3,725 square feet and a regal aesthetic with 16-foot ceilings, original chandeliers, murals and wood carvings.
