Hilton Los Angeles Airport announced a $50 million renovation to its guest rooms ahead of a global travel surge in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles anticipates an influx of global travelers to the city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place at SoFi Stadium in June—the hotel renovations are slated to be completed by then. Los Angeles also will host the 2028 Summer Olympics. In between those international events, the Super Bowl comes to SoFi Stadium in February 2027.
The Hilton, featuring 52,667 square feet of meeting space including a 13,585-square-foot ballroom, is one mile from LAX Airport and three miles from Los Angeles’ major sports venues—SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome and Kia Forum.

The “modern minimalism” redesign to the 1,234-room Hilton will include contemporary furnishings, new mattresses, enhanced lighting, new charging stations and more. Accessible rooms will also be updated with ADA-compliant enhancements including automated curtain controls.
The double bedrooms are being converted to accommodations with two queen beds. The double-bed rooms will feature orange accents for vibrancy whereas the king rooms will incorporate cooling teal tones.
Ahead of the holiday travel season, several floors of the property have already been renovated.
“It’s a once-in-a-generation moment for Los Angeles; few cities have experienced such a remarkable lineup of global sporting events in consecutive years,” said Jeff Ragonese, general manager, Hilton Los Angeles Airport, in a press release.
