Meeting Planners Unite, an association of independent meeting planners that was formed in the wake of the Marriott International commission cuts in early 2018, announced it is offering a healthcare plan for members.

Loews Raises Planner Commissions at Select Properties

Loews Hotels is increasing its third-party meeting planner commissions to 13 percent at select hotels in 2019. The luxury hotel company is maintaining its current 10 percent commission structure at its other properties.

Hyatt to Cut Planner Commissions

Hyatt Hotels Corporation will join Marriott International, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in cutting independent meeting planner commissions from its current 10 percent rate to 7 percent. Jack Horne, global head of sales and revenue for the hotel chain, revealed the news in a letter sent to meeting and event planners who have done business with Hyatt on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
